Jerrold Rubin has had three distinct careers. After many years as an international automotive executive he worked for the federal government as a diplomat supervising economic development projects in 11 developing countries. Most recently, he volunteers with the American Red Cross as a finance manager for national disasters. Jerry is an avid tennis player with hopes to return this year to the national championships in Arizona.
Fred Capaldi is a caring father, son, and business owner. He leads his family’s business, Capaldi Building Company, and holds numerous executive roles in professional builders’ associations. A recipient of multiple awards, Fred currently acts as an expert witness in construction disputes and is involved in forensic building. As a St. Anne’s Mead Trustee, Fred’s leadership has helped to grow and improve one of the area’s first mission-driven assisted living homes, where his father lived for many years.
Jeremy has worked across both the private and nonprofit sectors, with a significant part of his HR career rooted in mission-driven and public sector organizations. Most of that career has been in management and leadership roles. His work has focused on employee relations, compliance, and team building, the kind of hands-on HR that keeps organizations out of trouble and people working well together. He brings to St. Annes Mead that same practical, people-first approach as a trustee.
Samuel “Sam” McKnight is an attorney with distinction. As founder of McKnight, Canzano, Smith, Radtke & Brault, P.C., Sam received the highest rating, (AV), by Martindale Hubbell. He is recognized nationally for his expertise representing labor organizations in complex negotiations and has represented both public and private sector unions. Recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” by Naifeh and Smith, Sam is a frequent speaker at law schools and both lawyer and union conferences on the power of bargaining. Sam’s leadership as a St. Anne’s Mead Trustee has helped to strengthen this 60-year-old non-profit organization.
Rev. Sharon is a retired Episcopal priest, and although retired, still serves congregations in the Diocese of Michigan and the Diocese of the Great Lakes by officiating at services when a resident priest is not available. In addition to clergy activities, a family of two children, six grandchildren, and one (and another on the way) great grandchildren (plus a dog, Gracie Anne) keeps her very active. A love of the outdoors has evolved into a gardening habit, and interest in genealogy has provided opportunity to travel and to meet newly found relatives.
